Style and approach

Gray Jay Photography is run by Belinda Pfister from Chur. She covers weddings as reportage: she captures what actually happens on the day instead of re-creating scenes, and turns it into a connected visual story of the couple.

She prefers to work outdoors. By the water, among autumn trees or in the snow, she looks for the right setting together with the couple, in Chur and the nearby area.

The couple decides how much of the day she covers. That ranges from the civil ceremony with couple and group portraits to a longer booking from the preparations through the ceremony to the drinks reception. A couple shoot before the wedding, for example for the invitation cards, is also part of what she offers.

Besides weddings, she photographs couples, families, pregnancies, christenings and pets.
