• Museum Lindengut: historic ceremony room in Villa Lindengut at Römerstrasse 8, with old murals of communities in the canton of Zurich. Up to 20 people, 15 of them guests. Access is via 6 steps and not wheelchair accessible; by arrangement, the ceremony can take place in a ground floor room.
• Alte Kaserne cultural centre: the "Gesang/Quartier" room for up to 100 people; you can also book a room for the celebration afterwards. About 10 minutes on foot from the station through the old town.
• Casinotheater Winterthur: the "Bankett 1 und 2" rooms in the old town for up to 120 people.

In the small Superblock and Lindengut rooms, a photographer has little space to move. If you are planning a large guest list and big group photos, take a closer look at the Alte Kaserne and the Casinotheater.

What are you allowed to throw after the ceremony in Winterthur?

For Superblock and Lindengut, the city sets clear rules: natural petals, leaves, flint stones or Sugus sweets are fine, but the wedding party has to clear up afterwards. Soap bubbles are only allowed outside. Plastic, paper, cardboard, seeds and rice are not permitted, and if the city has to clean up, you will receive a bill. The city does not say whether photos may be taken; ask the civil registry office before you book anyone.
